PLACE MAKING_ Step into a vibrant new chapter at Stamford Place, a dynamic lifestyle hub nestled within the historic heart of Singapore. Once the grand Stamford Court, this mixed-use development now offers an array of destination-worthy dining experiences, stylish service apartments, and a collaborative co-working space.

MOD has meticulously transformed this iconic landmark, drawing inspiration from its rich legacy, especially the timeless clock tower that anchors the Stamford Road and Victoria Street junction.

Every detail, from the captivating facade to the inviting common areas, the bespoke dining venue, and the thoughtfully designed hotel rooms, restaurant and gym reflect a singular vision: to create a harmonious blend of heritage and contemporary living.

Enriching the space with a layer of contextual meaning, the medium of Art has also been infused into the design experience in a variety of ways. Spatially, flooring elements such as the typical corridor carpets are inspired by the movement of time and horological mechanisms, as have the custom lighting in the main reception entry point.

Several collaborations with local artists working around the central narrative themes have yielded key artworks at the drop off, main restaurant, reception entry as well as in the bedrooms - a constant anchor for the development to its site and heritage.

"WE DREW INSPIRATION FROM THE RICH COLONIAL HERITAGE FOUND IN BOTH THE SURROUNDING CONTEXT, AS WELL AS THE SITE'S ICONIC CLOCK TOWER. THESE ALLOWED US TO FORM A CLEAR NARRATIVE, WHICH GUIDED ALL OUR DESIGN DECISIONS."
